Here is an artist who really understands his subject and is not afraid to depict it in detail, harking back to an earlier age of sporting art. Daniel Crane’s beautiful watercolours are reminiscent of the great sporting artists of the last century.

He manages to convey the elegance and movement of the horse in immediately recognisable scenes. This is a wonderful show of the best equestrian art I have seen in years.
